*This application is completed for all substituting positions: including food service, nurse / health tech, and proctor substituting positions.

Application Review:

All substitute applications will be reviewed in the order they were received. Please be sure to include  all relevant experience and/or volunteer experience. A resume is not required, but is highly recommended to submit with your application.

Selected Applicants:

If selected to become a Boise School District substitute, you will be contacted via email with additional instructions on the onboarding process. Selected applicants will be required to complete an FBI Criminal Background Check which includes being fingerprinted and paying a fingerprint fee of $28.25 unless a fingerprint-based background check has already been completed through the Idaho Department of Education within the last six months.

Selected applicants interested in substituting as a certified substitute must complete five online Certified Substitute Training Modules in the Vector training platform (approximately 72 minutes), unless they have a current valid teaching certificate. Information about this training will be given during your onboarding appointment.
