Use this Retirement Checklist to stay organized throughout your retirement planning!
Complete the Retirement Form. Make sure the form is signed by your supervisor prior to submitting it to benefits@boiseschools.org.
If applicable, also complete the Early Notice Stipend packet.
Approximately six (6) weeks prior to the last day you work, you will receive additional forms from the Benefits Team to make your Retirement Benefit elections.

Request a Retirement Estimate from PERSI.
Once your Retirement Estimate has been received, contact PERSI to order a Retirement Application Kit.
Once your Retirement Application Kit is completed, contact PERSI to make a Retirement Appointment.

Social Security & Medicare
If you will be 65 or older when you retire, you will need to contact the Social Security and Medicare offices approximately two (2) months prior to your retirement date.
You will need your Medicare Card to enroll in the Idaho Public School Medicare Plans (these are the only Medicare plans which can be paid for with your PERSI pension.
