Credit for Prior Relevant Work Experience
Effective July 1, 2022, newly hired Classified employees may be eligible to receive up to two years of credit toward movement (steps) on the Classified Salary Schedule based on prior relevant work experience.
To be considered for this credit:
Download and complete the top section of the Employment Verification Form (linked below).
Submit the form to your previous employer(s) for them to complete.
Return the fully completed form to Human Resources no later than the date of your fingerprinting and onboarding appointment.
Timely submission of this form is essential to ensure proper salary placement based on your eligible experience.

If you are a newly hired classified employee with prior experience in a role that closely aligns with your new position, you may be eligible to receive credit for that experience.
