Certified Employees and Administrators who work half-time (0.5 FTE) or greater, and who plan to retire or resign from the Boise School District at the end of their 2025-26 year contract, may apply for the $1,000 Early Notice Stipend.
By applying for the Early Notice Stipend, Certified Employees and Administrators agree to the following:
This process is voluntary and the employee's choice.
The employee is a certificated employee eligible to receive a Standard Teacher’s or Administrator’s Contract for the 2026-27 school year.
The employee will remain in active employment through the end of their 2025–26 contract.
If under renewable contract rights:
The employee understands by submitting this form, they are waiving their renewable contract rights as outlined in Idaho Code 33-515.
Once approved, the employee's decision is final and cannot be changed (except in certain “special circumstances” outlined in the Negotiated Agreement Article II, O. If a special circumstance occurs before May 8, 2026, they may return to their position if it’s available—or the District will place them in another qualified role).
The employee's Retirement or Resignation will be announced at the April school board meeting.
If PERSI-eligible and planning to retire:
The employee has contacted PERSI and understands their retirement benefits (including income and health benefits).
The employee understands their monthly contract pay for the 2025-26 school year will continue through their last scheduled pay date.
